Alain Johannes talks about the new album from Brody Dalle

The renowned and prolific artist Alain Johannes, with whom Brody Dalle began a musical partnership in Spinnerette project, once again commented on the next and long-awaited studio album from Mrs. Homme.

The Chilean multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer, record producer and sound engineer, already had revealed in November 2011 the probability of the record not be released under the name Spinnerette, as we told you.

Asked by Brett Buchanan, from the website Alternative Nation, if the the project has unreleased material and if has plans to release another album, Johannes responded:

It’s not going to be Spinnerette, I think, I don’t think it’s been announced or final but it’s more going to be like a solo record and that is basically done, we’re just doing final touches. I don’t know if this is too early for anyone to hear about this, I could check with Megan, her manager, but the idea is, because Brody played a lot of guitar and bass and stuff, so that one’s almost finished and it’s very different from Spinnerette it’s hard to describe how, but it is. It’s pretty much done, just waiting to start it up for release. I’m not sure if it’s going to be released as Brody Dalle or what.

Remember that in April this year, in reply to the author of this post, Angélica Albuquerque, Dalle told that there were only three songs to be sung.

The new album from the eternal frontwoman of The Distillers will feature names like Shirley Manson (Garbage), Nick Valensi (The Strokes), Michael Shuman (Queens of the Stone Age, Mini Mansions), Darren Weiss (ex-Girls), Jessy Greene (famosa violinista) e Emily Kokal (Warpaint). Alain Johannes is the producer.
